Upswing 360 as a Gateway to Conferencing Services

The use of audio/web conferencing and webinar marketing programs are on the rise and will accelerate in the "new economy" that that we now live in. Cost-cutting is the new mantra, and productivity solutions like web conferencing services will continue to grow significantly. But how conferencing services are found, initiated, and managed will be changing.

We recently produced a promotional teaser video about our forthcoming software-as-a-service (SaaS) application called Upswing 360 and today we're showing this sneak peek video demo, the essence of which was presented at Wainhouse Research CSP Summit held in Boston on October 27th. The thrust of our message is that SaaS - in particular the business productivity apps like Upswing 360 that business professionals will increasingly interface with all day long - will become the "Gateway to Conferencing Services" and CSPs ought to take note.

Designed for business teams (sales, biz dev, marketing, customer support, ad hoc workgroups) Upswing 360 will fuse enterprise social networking with a radically new, hyper-efficient "social CRM" system for business teams to get the job done. It's sorta like merging Facebook, Twitter, and a radically improved Salesforce.com. (Compare the pre-360 version CRM edition of Upswing to Salesforce.com.) What's unique about the forthcoming Upswing 360 is the embedded conferencing services that we'll be integrating into this SaaS product. Conferencing services will be able to be scheduled, launched, and managed from within the Upswing 360 app.

If you're a business professional, the ability to initiate web conferences and webinars from within the CRM contact database of Upswing 360 represents a big short-cut. As you can see in the demo above, a user in Upswing can click on groups of tagged people to schedule and invite to a webinar, for instance. We're in the midst of speaking with CSPs to seamlessly integrate via web services and this new video demo shows some of the conferencing features within Upswing 360. More more post-event features, linking CRM and webinar event marketing, will be developed in Upswing.

For CSPs, integrating their audio and web conferencing services - which are used occasionally - with a viral application like Upswing 360 which will be used persistently makes sense to protect and expand conferencing service revenues. That conferencing services are becoming commoditized certainly supports this view.
